Reading this book was a real eye opener. It detailed the role our brains play in mental wellness in a way that was surprisingly easy to understand. There wasn't any of that intimidating jargon you might expect from such a topic. What really stood out for me was how it blended neuroscience with an easy to read writing style. I felt like I was having a conversation with someone rather than reading which I really liked.

I was going to wait until I finished this book before doing any reviews. But, since finally understanding how we create anxiety and depression, it suddenly just clicked and all makes perfect sense to me now. Just knowing this information has allowed me to start making changes for the better. I’m only half way through the book and already feeling 10 times better.

With my basic knowledge of psychology, this book really made things clearer for me. Angelo has a great way of explaining the brain and mental health topics so they're easy to understand without being patronising. He connects the stuff you read in textbooks with the things we see and feel every day. Would definitely recommend
